Composition - Triacetate
Triacetate is the quality for designs that should appear elegant, shapely, and impeccably flowing. Many designers appreciate triacetate because the fabric offers a calm, high-quality surface and often drapes particularly smoothly. Ideal if you are looking for an elegant fiber for modern and classic silhouettes. (More...)
Triacetate is a chemical fiber closely related to cellulose and is used for fabrics with a smooth surface, slight sheen, and well-groomed drape. Depending on processing, triacetate appears fluid, clean, slightly dimensionally stable, or modern, technically elegant. The fiber is especially popular for dresses, skirts, blouses, trousers, and high-quality blended fabrics.
Typical fabric types:
• Triacetate satin
• Triacetate crepe
• Triacetate blend
• Triacetate dress fabric
• Flowing quality triacetate
Important properties:
Triacetate is light, shapely, and maintains a well-groomed appearance. Many qualities wrinkle comparatively little and drape clearly and calmly. The fiber is particularly suitable for elegant fashion with a clean silhouette.
Care instructions:
Triacetate should be washed or cleaned gently, depending on the quality. High temperatures and strong pressing should generally be avoided. When ironing, use a low temperature and work as carefully as possible.
