Weave - Jacquard
Jacquard is the type of fabric that already looks designed because of its patterns and texture. Many designers love jacquard because the pattern is woven in, making it appear particularly high-quality and durable. Ideal for pieces that make an impression without much added detail.
Jacquard refers to fabrics in which patterns are woven directly into the structure, often with relief and depth. This creates surfaces ranging from subtle to highly decorative, depending on the yarn and weave. Jacquard can be light or heavy and ranges from elegant fashion qualities to decorative variants. The quality is suitable for blazers, skirts, dresses, coats, and also for decoration when structure and pattern effect are the focus.
Typical fabric types:
• Jacquard made of cotton
• Jacquard made of viscose blend
• Jacquard with brocade look
• Jacquard for decoration
• Jacquard with effect yarn
Important properties:
The pattern is woven in and remains permanent, not printed on. Rich in structure, often dimensionally stable and of high-quality feel. Depending on the quality, it can be firm or more fluid. May be more sensitive to pulls but looks very classy and special.
Care instructions:
Handle gently and reduce friction. Cleaning is often recommended, especially for delicate yarns or structure. Iron with steam and a cloth, not too hot, and do not press flat. Wash on a gentle cycle only if appropriate for the material, preferably in a laundry bag.
