Polyamide is a synthetic fiber and is used in many textile areas for fabrics ranging from lightweight to highly durable. Depending on processing, polyamide can appear smooth, dense, technical, sporty, or slightly shiny. It is particularly popular for jackets, linings, swimwear, sports fabrics, lace, and blended fabrics.
Typical fabric types:
• Polyamide fabric
• Polyamide with elastane
• Polyamide lace
• Polyamide lining fabric
• Polyamide functional fabric
Important characteristics:
Polyamide is lightweight, durable, and easy to care for. Many qualities dry quickly and retain their shape well. Depending on the construction, the fabric is suitable for sporty, elegant, or functional applications.
Care instructions:
Polyamide should not be washed or ironed at high temperatures. Gentle programs and air drying are usually recommended. High temperatures can damage the surface and the elasticity in blends.
