Kreuzköper is a variation of the classic twill weave in which the diagonal line regularly changes direction. This creates a clear, graphic pattern of diagonally running lines, giving the fabric structure and visual depth. Depending on the finish, Kreuzköper can appear warm and strong, fine and elegant, or modern and structured, for example as wool fabric for coats, cotton Kreuzköper for trousers, or blended fabrics for suits. Materials such as wool, cotton, polyester, viscose or blends are often used.

Typical fabric types:

  • Wool Kreuzköper
  • Cotton Kreuzköper
  • Coat fabric Kreuzköper
  • Suit fabric Kreuzköper
  • Kreuzköper with stretch component

Important properties:

Kreuzköper is dimensionally stable, durable, and visually especially interesting due to the alternating twill direction. The fabric retains its shape well, shows a clear pattern, and is suitable for coats, jackets, suits, trousers, skirts, and home textiles. The weave ensures a pleasant feel, good drape, and a high-quality appearance.

Care instructions:

Kreuzköper should be cared for according to its material composition. Wool qualities usually tolerate only hand washing or professional cleaning, while cotton and blended qualities often allow gentle washing at 30 to 40 degrees. Best ironed with steam, from the reverse side or using a pressing cloth to avoid shiny spots.

Our wholesale range for the autumn/winter collections offers fabrics made from similar materials, but generally warmer, heavier, and more focused on wool fabrics. Virgin wool fabrics are often blended here with cotton, silk, angora, mohair, or cashmere. Each collection also includes fabrics made from high-quality synthetic and microfibers, often designed as functional fabrics for outdoor clothing.
