Use - Trench coat fabric
Trench coat fabric stands for a look that is clean and confident while remaining suitable for everyday wear. Many labels rely on these qualities because it holds its shape and withstands the weather well. Ideal for clean lines and a precise silhouette. (More...)
Trench coat fabrics are usually tightly woven qualities, often gabardine or twill, usually based on cotton or as a blend. Smooth surfaces appear particularly clean and modern, while more textured qualities provide more structure and a more striking look. Depending on the finish, fabrics can be water-repellent, which is interesting for everyday use and changing weather. The weight determines whether the fabric appears lighter and more flexible or more stable and shaping.
Typical fabric types:
• Gabardine
• Twill
• Cotton blends
• Blends with polyester
• Finished qualities
• Technical fabrics depending on the range
Important properties:
Trench coat fabrics are dimensionally stable and robust, so the lines remain crisp and the fabric does not fatigue quickly in everyday life. Many qualities are crease-resistant and retain their appearance for a long time. Finishes can increase weather resistance, while the density of the weave affects how wind- and shape-resistant the fabric is. Surface and texture determine whether the look is more classic, sporty, or very modern.
Care instructions:
Gentle wash cycle or dry cleaning depending on the finish; avoid high temperatures to maintain surface and performance. Do not use aggressive detergents, and often do not use fabric softener with finished fabrics. Air drying is usually better than high heat because high temperature can affect coatings and handle. Iron moderately and preferably from the reverse side to avoid shiny marks.
