Use - Outdoor fabric
Outdoor fabric combines function and appearance—robust, reliable, and modern. Many brands choose these qualities because they withstand weather and movement while still looking well groomed. Ideal for materials that really need to endure something. (More...)
Outdoor fabrics are often made of polyester or polyamide and, depending on quality, are densely woven, coated, or provided with special finishes. Ripstop qualities are chosen when high tear resistance is needed; softshell often feels softer and more comfortable. Depending on the finish, fabrics can be wind-repellent, water-repellent, or particularly quick-drying, and care strongly influences how long these effects last. Stretch variants increase mobility, while smoother surfaces often create a cleaner, more modern look.
Typical types of fabrics:
• Polyamide
• Polyester
• Ripstop fabrics
• Softshell qualities
• Coated qualities
• Stretch qualities with elastane
Important properties:
Outdoor fabrics are robust, abrasion-resistant, and mostly quick-drying. Depending on their finish, they offer wind protection or water repellency, while the construction determines how breathable the fabric is. Many qualities remain colorfast and dimensionally stable even with regular use. Stretch content improves comfort without compromising function, provided they are properly cared for.
Care instructions:
Gentle wash cycle, mild detergent, and often no fabric softener to preserve functionality. Low temperatures and a low spin cycle protect the coating and finish. Air drying is usually better than high heat, especially for coated qualities. Observe care instructions, as improper care can significantly change water repellency and feel.
