Use - Sportswear fabric
Sportswear fabric is made for movement, comfort, and a clean look. Many brands rely on these qualities because they feel good and remain dependable in everyday life. Ideal when a fabric needs to be flexible and durable. (More...)
Sportswear fabrics are often knitted or technical qualities based on polyester or polyamide, often with stretch for mobility. Jersey and interlock are common because they feel comfortable against the skin and move well, while mesh qualities are popular for inserts. Depending on construction and finishing, fabrics can manage moisture better or dry faster without compromising appearance. Weight and density determine whether the fabric feels light and airy or more compact and stable.
Typical fabric types:
• Polyester jersey
• Polyamide jersey
• Interlock
• Stretch qualities with elastane
• Mesh
• Technical woven fabrics
Key properties:
Many sportswear fabrics are elastic, quick-drying, and remain dimensionally stable even with movement. Breathability depends on construction and density, with mesh significantly increasing airiness. Good qualities are colorfast and remain comfortable even after many washes. Stretch ensures comfort, while stable constructions prevent the fabric from sagging.
Care instructions:
Use a gentle cycle and mild detergent, often without fabric softener as it can impair function. Air drying preserves elasticity and surface, while high heat can damage fibers and finishes. For dark colors, wash inside out to reduce abrasion. Follow care instructions, especially if the fabric is functionally finished.
