Weave - Mesh
Mesh is the fabric for modern lightness and smart details. Many designers use mesh because transparency and airiness immediately make a look contemporary. Ideal for inserts, layering, and sporty elegance.
Mesh is a net-like fabric with open structures that can be very fine or clearly visible depending on the mesh pattern. Mesh is often based on polyester or polyamide, which makes it easy to care for and dimensionally stable, often also elastic. Mesh is often used as an insert because it allows air circulation and creates a lightweight appearance. Depending on the quality, mesh can drape softly or be a bit firmer and is suitable for sporty looks, details, layering, and transparent sections.
Typical fabric types:
• Fine mesh
• Coarse mesh
• Stretch mesh
• Textured mesh
• Shiny mesh depending on quality
Important properties:
Airy, often elastic and very light. Transparency is typical, mesh pattern determines the effect. Often quick-drying and easy to care for. Can be sensitive to hooks and pulled threads.
Care instructions:
Use a laundry bag to avoid pulled threads. Gentle cycle, low temperature, minimal spinning. Air dry, do not iron too hot. With very fine qualities, prefer steaming.
